The RED was founded to improve the voice of indigenous people by giving them a forum in which to reclaim their rights and become self-sufficient. The RED is made up of a number of advocates that represent the regional communities they serve, and focus on economic and social development, as well as provide legal services on violation of human and labor rights. They work in the northerneastern part of Chiapas.
